first road trip in p5

I'm about to make a 14 hour drive to Florida in my 2003 Silver Protege5 (and a week later, make the 14 hour drive back home to Cincinnati). Currently it has just under 4,000 miles on it. It still needs its first oil change. So, aside from getting an oil change before I leave, anything else I should check on?

I'll be driving mostly highway, and mostly with the AC running.

Check you tire pressure. Wiper fluid. Make sure you wiper blades are in good condition. Check all your other fluids. And have fun.

thats cool man, i took my first road trip in the p5 and i went to maine from pennsylvania which is about a 10 hour trip

heading to a beach house at cape san blas, FL. its on the gulf, about an hour east of Panama City. never been there, apparantly its not too built up yet... should be interesting.

I'm from Lima, Ohio. We drove through Cincy on the way to Florida for spring break 2003. (Panama City)

I had quite a few more miles than you though. Infact, before I left, I got my 30,000 mile "tune-up." All was well, and me and three cute girls went to Florida
