First door ding....

Well, I don't know if it happened today or what, but there were some construction people getting crap out of their van today at work. Of course I looked because my coworker was making fun of me. There it was. Small little ding on passenger side front door. Looks like a door hit it. I don't know when it happened or what. There is no paint chip or scuff... Kind of pisses me off. No more immaculate car ...

Just for the heck of it, how much would it cost to knock the ding out? How the hell do they do it anyway?

DEPENDING ON THE SIZE DENT WIZARD WILL CHARGE BETWEEN 75 AND 120 DOLLARS TO REMOVE A DING FROM A DOOR. BY THE WAY, THEY HAVE A SERIES OF TOOLS WHICH PUSH THE DENT BACK OUT. KINDA LIKE MASSAGING THE DING BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL POSITION. IT IS TOTALLY SAFE AND DOES NOT HARM THE PAINT AT ALL.

A guy in my home town of Ky does this stuff out of his truck and has been doing it for a long time. This guys uses his own hand made tools and soes the four top dealerships in my town and in Bowling green Ky his number is 270-570-dent, just call him i guarntee that he can help you or would know someone in your home town. Also he was working on our vehicles at out business 60 dollars to pull 42 dents....not bad, also 45 mins to do it. I made a difference to where they wee never there. Tell him Brad Maglinger sent you.

But can a guy like this do a door? He'd have to take off the interior panels and sucessfully put them back on. Not a trivial task if you've never done our type of car before... Thanks for the info though!

Just to ease you mind about the door panels. They are super easy to get off the car......I know because I take door panels off every day i go to work. However they put a small spacer between the door sill and the window (like a wedge shaped door stop) and manipulate their tools toward the dent without taking the panel off. Dent Wizard is the company in our area but you should have a similar company in your area.

I have an MP3 here in our home town, so if he needed to look at it it would be fine. He doesnt go through the door panel he will go through the window, oyu would just have to see it. Just call him, what do you have to lose???? 20 cents on a call???? well worth a ding pulled and no paint.

Well thanks for the info about the dent wizards. I have a place in Madison, WI here called Dent Wizards as well. I should give them a call and see how much it would be. Its so small that if its a lot of cash, I will just wait for the inevitable... More dings! From what I've read, these places charge per panel...
