Finally Metra made the kit for the Mazda 3. It's supposed to incorporate the clock. I haven't seen a picture but the guy who ordered it for me says it's real nice looking.

It's not cheap. $75 bucks. Well, we'll just have to wait for pictures!!

dont know if anybody really cares, but theres another site where u can get a dash kit for. its HZEmall.com then click the mazda3. it looks good but hes chargin a little too much to do it ($200) and your factory radio is all chopped up.

I didn't see anywhere that the HZE guy was selling his service BUT who cares...
I mean I could just whip that fix up in a few minutes right?!?!!
looks easy enough!!! NOT!

looked pretty good, althrough I'd hate to lose my LCD display! :(

WOW, that is REALLY clean...very good work. Not worth $200 though. Maybe $100

Here's a radio kit you won't see just anywhere, think $75 is expensive? I was quoted $500 to have this carbon fiber dash panel made, but said to hell with it, did some research and spent $55 in materials and 15 hours of labor (mostly sanding, sanding and more sanding) and made the damn thing myself. I took a flat sheet of ABS plastic, heated it and stretched it to fit the contoured lines of the stock radio, cut it to size, sanded, coated with a layer of two part epoxy, layered a sheet of 2x2 twill carbon fabric and brushed on two coats of polyester acrylic, sanded down to 2000 grit, completely cut apart the stock radio housing to preserve original mounting points (original LCD included in final install, though it is disconnected until I rewire the control board from the stock radio to drive it) and dropped in a Pioneer DEH-P9300 head unit. It's more work than most would attempt, but nothing ventured, nothing gained I always say... Let me know what you guys think.

It'l do for now. At least until someone comes out with a kit that actually fits properly.

Installer.com

Has the Mazda 3 kits for $25.50 and something like $5.50 shipping. Decent price. I think they only take paypal for payment though.
