well i have the same face as the banana... so its a bad thing... my car have been through hell and back so maybe it just said "i've had enough"

Check with Al-Japanese in Opa Locka. They have JDM long blocks for about 500 to 600. If you plan just to do a engine swap.

Complete engine minus tranny. Just swap out what you want to keep from your old engine and install on the new one. Plus if your car is a manual change the clutch at the same time. Plus I would check your engine mounts. The rear one is a b**** to change with the engine in the car.

naw i wasnt boosted and i had 138,000+ miles... i also did my clutch not to long ago... but damn... im just thinkin of scrapin the whole car... its has alot of self inflicted problems anyway...

If rust isn't a problem, don't junk it. Much cheaper to throw ~$1000 to get it back up and running strong than it is to buy a new car.

^^^ (uhm)

Yeah- I thought 2003.5 was the last year of the P5? Be careful you're not getting a 1.8liter motor. They look very similar.

Rust that is very problematic like the wheel wells or rockers, or just here and there? I wouldn't pay anything over $700 for a used engine, regardless of miles.

the mechanic just said 1,800 is including installation and everything... the engine alone is around 1,200 he said...

You are getting screwed !!!!
Used engine $600
Installation $700 to $900.
Are you doing any custom work ?

Actually, that's not a bad price. My cousin blew his Toyota Matrix motor and a shop quoted him $3000 for a direct swap. I ended up swapping it for him though. The motor we got online had 70k miles on it and was $1200 shipped to my door. I didn't charge for labour but it took about a 3 day weekend.

I got a complete engine swap for around $1600, and that was with custom work.
