I'm holding the AWR front motor mount in my hand, and looking in the engine bay... and I have no idea where it goes. I've done searches and people say, just take off the three bolts. Where are these bolts? Why can't I see where this damn thing goes? Can someone post a picture of the installed mount? Or help me out with a descriptive install? Seriously, I'm a rookie.

hold the motor mount with the bolts down in your hand, then look right past your radiator cap straight down into your engine bay and you will see it...:) if you still can't find it, i can take a pic....

Thanks!
Ah! There it is... way down there. Well, I'm assuming that you have to get at it from under the car. My friend has a lift and he is going to help me out. Why have people been saying it's a 5 min install? This seriously can't be a 5 minute install.

Well maybe it's 5 minutes if you've already done this to a car before. So you just see it, a few bolts and bam your done.

dude, took me 10 min.
no lift, no ramps.
nothing has to be supported, it's plug-and-play.

Remember, Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey...jk

It's cool seeing people wanting to learn how to do thier own stuff. I get tired of the "who can install my sparkplugs/injen/radar detector" threads.

Of course, I'm currently stalled on my AWR sway install. F%&$#*@ endlink bolts!(gun)

Would the AWR front motor mount fix that weird shift thing I sometimes get, where it kinda feels like I let off the gas too early or something? Kinda "bucks" during shifting? If not that, what exact difference does it make?

Thanks.

Alex

it will stop "engine lash" or "wheel hop"
the stock inserts are RUBBER and if your engine puts out a little power, it will move like crazy causing wheel hop, etc.

yup, it really is a 5 minute install, you don't need a lift, just a jack to get under your car and you can have it done in no time, it is the rear mount that is a different story...

SO you're saying the front mount would be a good thing if you were going FI, as I am.

How's the vibration in the car? I've heard it rather noticeable with both mounts; how is it with just the one?

vibration is not bad with just the front, the rear is a different story though, very noticable at first, but once you get used to it, then its no big deal....of course, i am a horsepower junky also, so as long as it makes me go faster, then nothing really fazes me...lol
