BTW, I'm getting a CEL...P106. Something about a malfunctioning MAP sensor. Anyone ever experience that?

Can anyone posts pics of the vaccum lines on their intake manifold?

hope these help some

yeah, that sensor/actuator thing at the bottom of the pic...the one with nothing attached to it...I don't have one there. But as far as the car is concerned, neither do you. wtf?

cool why does it sound odd? Like rough?
Did you listen to all of the videos? I had a vac leak at first. Now I just have no exhaust.

I did not hear you on it, but now I know.
Yeah, that's why in the last vid I said "fixed the vac leak" or whatever.

The vac leak was a "nipple" with nothing connected to it on the intake manifold. It was on the passenger side towards the bottom...right under the VICS actuator. I plugged it. WOnder what's supposed to go there?

And where the hell are the MAP sensors in our cars?

Pat - that's exactly what I was looking for in the pics, but it doesn't look any different from mine, really.

That nipple has a hose about 6" connected to it that goes to somewhere up top, but I can't remember where... but I knew exactly what nipple you were talking about as soon as you said "under the manifold" because we forgot about it once too :)

I looked through the repair manuals and can't find anything on a MAP sensor... it'd have to have wires going to it as well... and I can't recall any such thing... very weird.

that nipple is the source for the VICS solenoid, or in the case of MSP the VTCS and the VICS solenoids. I'm glad the car is back together!

yeah, that second one with nothing hooked up- its like that in every MP3

its not utilized, but then why even have the solenoid there? LOL what a waste of money.
