2002 Mp5 - 1995 Miata "M" Edition - 2005 Mazdaspeed Miata black
I have a 2002 MP5. About 3 months ago my CD's started to skip - first with the CD-R, now with bought CD's. Also the radio station will just change without anyone touching it.
Has anyone had this problem? Anyone have any suggestions as to what to do?

Thanks for the help

mine kept eating my cds...it wouldn't spit them out and when it did they were all scratched...i needed a reciever that had inputs...so i just got a new one...
i would think it would be under warrenty if your car still is...

Thanks you guys. I am going to call the dealer today and ask if they tell me no then I guess that I will have to get loud (just like a woman when she doesn't get her way).

yea a few of on the edm-mazda club had that problem....stick piece of crap...turf it and get a new deck.

Hows this for a laugh, the dealership sells them for a 1000 CAN ....

Mine also skips when I hit bumps and it won't play certain cd-r's
that I burn I plan to get rid of that s*** and get an alpine head unit in the future.

After I read this thread I went to my car to check out my CD's and sure enough, most of them have circular scratches on them.

yep...i took mine apart and it says its khm audio...anyone know who really makes it? its definatly bad, but what do you expect with a factory radio...

MEEEEE 2!!!!

For the past 2 months or so i have noticed that my cds have been skipping and showing up with scatches on them and sometimes the cd will just stop playing and start right back up again, i had a sub and amp put in on my stock headunit, i thought that was the problem, which didn't make much sense, but after reading this i guess mazda cd players = crap-o-la :wtf:
shag'
