F2 Intake Fitment?

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but I've been searching for a few weeks now without any result.

I'm having some issues with my F2 CAI fitment. I have a 2007 Mazda3, and I just yesterday installed the F2 CAI in it. It was fairly straightforward, except for two parts: The Breather Tube, and the lower rubber mount.

As seen in these pictures, the breather tube connects to a 90 degree tube on the intake.

Also, in the example given in those pictures, the breather tube is a flexible piece of hose. In mine, it is a rigid piece of plastic tubing. This wouldn't be a problem, if the F2 intake's breather tube... port thing, wasn't at a 45 degree angle, facing towards the engine.

I can't get the breather tube to connect properly, and I'm afraid of damaging the tube. Should I just look into finding a flexible hose to replace the entire breather tube? Or is there some trick I'm not getting?

I was unable to find any instructions specific to the F2 CAI install, they didn't even send it with my intake.

Second problem:
Lower rubber mount

This does not match up properly with my intake, it's at an angle that doesn't really fit the mount on my car. Am I just too slow, and I'm not getting it?

I can provide pictures of my situation if needed. I guess I'm hoping someone here has experience with this intake, since it's supposed to be one of the best intakes for the money. I'm not impressed with the engineering so far.

I just installed the F2 intake on my 07' Mazda 3 as well. I had to go get an additional silicon line for the breather tube. Like you said, the stock one doesn't mate up.

I got 3ft to be safe, but only needed about 2',6".

as for the lower rubber mount... There is a Bolt that stares you straight in the face as you pull the plastic guard back. it is the one closest to the engine, you pulled a bolt from the spot to get the stock silencer out.

bolt it in and then bolt the intake to it, this will allow flex for your CAI.

last thing that I did that I would Highly recommend. You have some plastic clips that clip the wiring for your MAF to the box/shield for your battery. Pull those so the wires aren't connected. This will allow you to plug in the MAF without having issues of pulling the wiring out, otherwise it is REALLY pulling on the wires.

Hope that helps.

Appreciate it. That's what I ended up doing, I got a hose to fit up for the breather hose... I didn't need nearly 2.5 feet though, I only bought 2 feet and still had to cut it down a few inches.

Not quite sure what you mean about the bolt, I'll take some pictures later today to show what my issue with it is. It just seems to be at a bad angle, won't match up quite right.

And thanks, I had figured out the MAF thing. It would have put way too much stress on it, had I left it attached.
