Extremely noob on rims/tires..need specifics plz!

Ok..I never shopped for rims and tires..so PLEASE help

I need to know what are all the specifics for putting 18" wheels on my 3GTS hatch...these are the styles I'm looking at..with some lip.. do I go with 18x7.5 or 18x8.0?

I'm also planning on lowering the car just a tad..like 1" or a tad more..maybe

I know I need 5x114.3... but what I need to know is..what offset and what exact tire sizes would fit AOK without rubbing..this is obviously my daily..no other mods to be done except for wheels/tires/springs...please help..here are some ideas im having for wheels....

And will I need any more info on the tire pressure monitor I have when getting rims?

Is there anything else i Need to know of? or keep in mind..help a dummy wheel/tire guy out...I'm a former EVO guy, so I only paid attention to the engine..haha

on the hatch you should be able to go with 18x8.0 cuz its wider than the sedan. if your droppin it bout 1" or so the offset i think should be lk 45.
