extra output in stock head?

Do we have an extra output jack/harness in the stock head, or will I have to splice to put in a subwoofer? I know, rookie question. I assume there's no extra.

There's no RCA or extra line level output on the stock hu. To install an amp with the stock unit you can use the rear speaker outputs and a line level converter to convert to rca's and connnect the amp.

Or just buy an amp that accepts line-level inputs. Why use a converter that is going to introduce more noise if its not necessary?!?!

The two Alpines I got take line-level inputs, there are plenty of amps to choose from that will accomplish the task.

Good Idea, talon. I'd be looking to drive one 10" or 12". Would one of your amps do it off of the rear speakers, and if so, what model do you have?

Check out this thread. I listed all the equipment I purchased and from where. Both of the amps will accept line-level inputs.
