Exhaust sound clip request

Does anyone have a clip of a cat back with no cats and a header? I don't really care what kind of catback, just trying to find something that sounds better than my current setup.

Not happy w/the midpipe? Or the midpipe and magnaflow combo? If so why not? I'm asking because I have been thinking about doing that for a while now, though according to my magic mod 8-ball, "sources say no"

No I'm perfectly happy with the midpipe, it's a great piece. It the sound of the catless midpipe+header coupled with the magnaflow I dont like.

This weekend I am going to do a sound clip of my setup. OBX Headers + corksport exhaust + no cats. I think that it sounds good. It is loud though.

I already know what that sounds like. Luke (rogue Pro5) has that same setup. Loud is definatly the right word to describe it.

Arizona Mazda club has a video of our last mountain run. I am the blue P5 leading the run.

Anyway there are two spots where you can hear my car as I pass the camera man.


I have a ceramic coated Ractive header, MAM midpipe with a highflow cat and a Magnaflow cat back.

5. The driver was taking some of those corners a little too fast for my tastes - winding up in the opposite lane around a corner could = death.

6. I love watching him in the 6 trying to keep up with the yellow p5 on the way down.

7. Anyone looking to hear the exhaust, fast forward to 13 minutes into the vid.

8. Damn that sucka's loud! You can still hear it after you drive by the camera!

Only the RX7's are dented. They are from AZRX7 club and joined up with AZMC for the run.

My car is quieter with the magnaflow than when it had the mazdaspeed axle back. I guess I don't really hear much of my car with dynamat in the hatch and the stereo.

#5 That was Matt who is 17 and just graduated from highschool in the silver 6. funny part is when he hit that curve and went left of center he came on the FRS radio and said, "I'm done" It scared him a bit and gave him a reality check.

now i dont like the catback magnaflow for the mp3 cuz its only a 2.25" inlet. well...............i want a bigger midpipe. im about to add an awr header and so a straitpipe (no cats) and im just trying to think of how to finish off the rear end. do you think using a magnaflow muffler would still have the same/similar sound as the cat-back? and hey redneck, was that clip (the one after 13 min) an accurate representation of how your car sounds?
