Exhaust question

if there's any pros out there.... i want my car to sound like the mazda speed with a turbo backed exhaust, its there any combos of testpipes, resi's, or cats that would make it sound so deep and mean but not raspy? ps ive got a n/a 2.3l

its just ok but it sounds kinda raspy, not really what im looking for, i already have a cai so it should sound different then what ever exhausts people have with the stock airbox.

The only thing that's going to make your car sound like an MS3 is a is a for sale sign and good enough credit to buy one. There isn't a product out there that will make your car sound like something it's not.

That said, I have an N/A 2.3L as well, and what I did was chop the pipe after the primary cat (exhaust manifold one), which got rid of the secondary cat and the resonator, as well as the stock muffler. I re-piped it to 2.25", used a Sweet Talker "Purrform" resonator (pretty much just your run-of-the-mill straight through bottle style), and popped on a Magnaflow oval bodied muffler, finished it off with a 3.5" Magnaflow tip. I'm not really happy with it, and will replace it eventually, but for now, compared to some of the other junk on the streets here, I think it sounds decent. Clink the link to hear it.
