B bova80 Member : 2007 Mazdaspeed6 GT Dec 13, 2008 #6 if you have a leak it could, the gasket itself won't cause the sound. i would just make sure its lined up right and that all the bolts are tight. hell i only have 4 of the 5 bolts on my downpipe and i dont have a leak.
