ever heard of these? anything, good or bad. all i could find was some good reviews from some guys with maximas, and one guy with a mazda 3. i would be getting these with s-tech springs. i just really need to replace my struts and im tryin to go back to school and replace my turbo and a bunch of other things, so obviously the price is whats most attractive. unless someone has a good reason not too, other than just because there inexpensive, i think i am going to order them.

I'm a believer in "You get what you pay for" and I have seen way too many ebay knockoffs. But try them out if you want, the stock Tokikos are good quality struts.

Looking for actual experience based testimony... not just " its cheap it must be s***"
As much as I subscribe to that line of thinking as well, it isn't always correct...

made in china. Home of the cutting corners i wonder if the front and rear will be even. i'm interested but not expecting much.

They look pretty, but the price seems too good to be true IMO. When you start throwing around names like KYB and Tokico at only a portion of the price, you have to wonder.

i never once in all my years seen a post about these....my guess is most people dont want to buy cheap knock off china crap when it comes to something as important as suspension/handling.

Buy them, they might work ok but my guess is they will underperform other models or last a month.

Just a little update, I saw this thread a while back and decided to try them, ordered all 4 and put in the 2 front ones in May.
The car is bone stock including the springs.
The're both blown as of a few days ago, the passenger side is worse than the drivers side.
So they lasted all of 4 months/15k km.
The're garbage as far as I'm concerned. It's a good thing the're 'sold out'

yeah....junk.

Going to hi-jack here. Wouldn't normal protege struts have higher perches and ride higher with our stock springs. I assume this could be countered with lowering springs, but I wouldn't know how much lower I would need to go unless someone has measured the difference between the MSP Tokicos and the standard protege ones. I wouldn't mind going a little lower (.5-.75") maybe, but definitely wouldn't want it any higher.
