Engine/Tranny shield issues

Hey all. Did my 5th oil change today and looks like the shield that runs right under the engine/tranny has taken its last breath. Driving around the winters and in a lot of the rain we've been getting recently has caused a fair amount of rust to form on the metal clips, screws, and bolts that hold the shield to the car. I was doing my routine oil change and the bolts broke right off the clips making it impossible to take the screws out with a single wrench (the screw and bolt kept turning in unison). There were two screws that wouldn't come undone at all and were in such impossible positions to reach them with the shield on I had to cut the shield in order to yank 'em out of there. I usually don't mind doing oil changes, but this plastic shield is the biggest pain about the process.

I'll be going to the dealer next week to pick up a new shield with new clips/screws/bolts. I'll be making sure to put some anti-corrosion lube on those after every oil change from now on. Here are some pics just for the heck of it. Hope no one else runs into this problem.
