Electrical Plug Possible?

I am looking to see if anyone has ever installed a 115V power outlet in our cars. something like whats in a Pontiac vibe, please don't think I'm crazy just got a new deck and would love to put a gaming system inside the car or any other uses i could find for it.

Sure, you just need a 12V DC to 120V AC converter. You can get them at most car shops (example), just install one under a seat and hook it up to a switched 12V source.

No, even the "Pontiac vibe" has a converter, it's just hidden somewhere. Cars run at a little over 12V DC, there's no magic 120V AC plug tucked away somewhere.

EDIT: That being said, nothing stops you from installing a converter somewhere hidden and adding a 120V jack in the console (that would be pretty badass imo).

is it a PITA to install another 12v plug on say the side of the center console so i could mount the inverter under the passenger side seat
