Eibach springs

Ok, so I recently purchased a set of Eibach Pro-kits. I began to dissemble everything and immediately ran into a problem (infamous stock endlinks). So I preceded to go on to the next steps. The tutorials say to jack up the control arm and remove the 17mm bolt that holds the control arm to the spindle (knuckle). However, a mazda protege doesn't have control arms in the rear. (screwy) There are "lateral links" and a "trailing arm." The only 17mm bolt I can find in that vicinity is the one holding the "trailing arm" to the spindle (knuckle). Removing that seemed to accomplish nothing. If someone could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

dude, you really should search the forum. In the how to section are very good detailed instructions on how to do it. This was my first time EVER doing anything to a car and those instructions where dead on.

I still havent learned the names to anyhting, but the only 17mm bolt needed to be removed is the one that holds the plate that holds the spring in place, you loosen that up while the strut is still in place so its easier once you get the whole assembly of the car. There are 3 14mm nuts that holds the strut to the chassis and the 2 nuts that hold the strut to the rotors, other then that its just removing the endlinks and detaching the clips for the ebrake.
