Thats some good advice. Thanks I'll keep all that in mind.slamdp5 said:take care with the end links, take good measurements before you start so you can compare when done, loosen the top strut bolt before you drop the strut because it is impossible to hold when it is out of the car, don't let the rear brake calipers hang when you take them loose from the rotor, if i think of anymore i will chime back in![]()
Thanks a lot man I appreciate it. Ill let yall know how good the handling is after I put them on. Today i just took this pretty long curve (decent size) at 65 and I started to loose a lil control when I reached 70. (This chick in a gof was tryin to race me but she wouldnt dare take that turn that fast with all that traffic) Anyways Ill do that again and see the difference.CruzinAltitude said:Let me begin by saying icynelly, that is one sweet looking protege!
How big a diffrence is the handling between the two. I want to lower my car, but I wouldnt want the handling to suffer, thats one of the best things about my MP5
why would u take the rear calibers loose from th rotor??
I used this paint made specifically for brake drums. I didnt do the painting, my dad did. BUt I watched him and I should be able to emulate. It wasnt that tough. He did it fairly quick.DevilsSi1481 said:very nice protege, just curious but how did u get the brake caliper painted so nicely??
He did it while they were still on. Took him about one minute for each one.DevilsSi1481 said:did he do it all with the calipers on the car still or did he take them off the car??
