EGT Temps?

Who out there is running a EGT and where is the probe mounted? Also wondering what kinda temps you run while just cruising around and when you are WOT? Just installed mine and wanted to get a idea what everybody else gets for temps.

i have one but havnt been able to install the probe yet, where did you install your probe, in the collector, cyldner 1 runner, or in the DP. (sorry to go off topic, just trying to get an idea)

depends on where you mounted the probe..
manifold EGT's will be about 1200f. Downpipe, probably about 800-900.

well...considering we have the same engine, it may be useful my info:

I run it on the downpipe, 1 inch after the turbo. Car runs 1200F (650C) or less. It can go up to 1350F (700C) cruising, but it may switch to open loop right before it reaches those temps.

You may not run over that boosting or cruising. More than that, you are running lean. Less than that: rich.

I installed mine about 3 inches past the flange on the DP. Just took a drive and I measure about 1000 at WOT 2nd to the top of 3rd. I am also running stock boost right now until I get my A/F installed.

i put my probe into the 4th cylinder (usually the leanest) and run 800-1100 crusin and 1450 at wot
