Ebay Turbo Kit

simple, no. if its too good to be true, then its not true. i bet the turbo could explode and if not the intercooler piping, judging by the picture since it looks quite thin, plus if you go to their page they have the same "setup" for every single car. its a universal setup and they never work nor do they ever fit right. plus a turbo alone (not a kit) can cost you upwards from $600-$1000+ from basic basic and the low 600 may be too low for a good quality garrett or other reliable manufacturer. im still a noob so dont feel bad, i had that same question about 5 months ago

i've heard some really bad things about the turbos that come with the kits. an ebay fmic may be decent, but i'd save up for a legit turbo

ooohhhhHHHHH get it get it...and waste your money!!
JUST KIDDING.... for real.. dont buy that piece of crap.. your missing ket components.. like a manifold.... and if your having one custom made... why would you be wasting your money on a china turbo that may or may not work out of the box... seriously... save your money and buy some one elses setup.. or something new... it is worth it in the long run... it is not worth the hassle

things you need ...( depends on stock or custom made.......... high priced as example)
manifold 175+
decent turbo 600+
down pipe 300 ( the pope is selling 3 inchers
oil lines
water lines
gauges
front mount and piping
GOOD BOV
misc fittings ( oil water that kinda stuff)
gaskets
exhtra bolts
ECU ( this is an important one)
Tuning hardware like ssafc ot emanage... both 400 +
spark plugs
...

I have spent close to 8 thousand in turbo parts and then upgrades... just in the turbo area alone.. not to include forged internals, 5 motors.. 6 if you count the one in my livingroom flood that im building...

all that money.. and some tuning to be at 170 hp on 4psi boost and getting 35mpg on the highway.... 17-25 in the city... not to bad...

Yeah, I figured it was garbage, but I wanted to make sure. The Apexcone Raptor HID lights seemed that way at first but those apparently are really great. Probably going to keep it NA at least for the foreseeable future.

These kits are junk. Many people in the Supra community have gotten eBay turbos to find that they were sealed with glue. Yes, glue.

shouldve bought yourself a $500 dollar accord and a $2000 h22a with 5spd LSD tranny fro hm motors. make much more power for less the cost and still reliable.

^^ i bought a 240sx with a rb25 in it..... 4500... lol... new turbo.... 1800..... the look on the neighbors face when hit the rev limiter ( 2 step ) EVERY morning.... priceless... hehehe....

seriously... i could have... but i didnt have the time and the moeny... when i got to fort riley.. i had to take out a miles loan ( military loan at 18 percent apr ) it SUCKED... i really didnt want my mazda.... but i had 200 cash.... however im lookin to sell my protege and im gonna get another honda...
probably a 2002 or something.. do a k24 turbo built swap... dont get me wrong the 240 is sick and all.... just...expencive parts wise at the moment..

thats not bad for 4500 actually. the only reason why i bought the p5 was because the accord was giving me problems at the time and i needed a car for school. found this car for 5 grand so i said why not. i was looking for any japanese car in a V6 at least preferably a toyota or honda but all were too overpriced.

give me 5 grand this time around and i'll buy a MKIII supra and swap a 1jz in there OR a vintage 60s-70s beetle sedan or convertible with a mahle or empi stroked motor :)

my friend decided to waste money and have some fun, got one of these ebay turbo kits, we put it on one of his honda, and suprisingly this is running pretty good. I wonder how long it gona last.

Do a search on youtube for WestpalmGT, its ford probe that was running an ebay turbo and ran pretty strong if im not mistaken

Wonder if they're using chinese turbines? Those are great. Basically you're paying a fraction of the price of an original for a one-in-ten chance that the turbo bearings will go south within 100 miles and a 50:50 chance it'll go within a month.

i wouldnt dog on ebay kits too much now, my friend swap a k20 into a 00 si and slapped on an ebay kit and was spanking fakas everywhere, was tuned with hondata and thas about it. almost 6 months later the motor is now in an eg hatch and still running cherry and strong.

you beat me to it. that was in fact an ebay turbo then he eventually upgraded to a precision turbo after going threw like two motors and seven trannies. They are hit and miss, just dont expect it to perform like a well built garrett or turbonetics turbo. You get what you pay for. You can always buy one to get your car on its feet and upgrade things little by little to what you want with more reliable parts.

like they say:
pick two of the three: CHEAP, FAST, REALIABLE
