i think they should be good cuz its made in japan (jdm) only way to find out is buy em. the price is really cheap though.

uh...just cuz they are made in japan does not mean they are good. In my area you can go to Mitsuwa (japanese shopping center) and they have a store called "auto freak" filled with japanese made car stuff. Among all the small amount of name brand stuff are some really crappy cheap-o merchandise. Technically you can put them in your car and call them JDM. I think most of though would only consider actual OEM mazda stuff availabe only in japan as JDM

ebay sellers use that tag to get you to buy, i wouldn't buy these......

edit in-here is a link to tommotorsport (mispelled in the auction, lol)

it looks like a ricer site, they have the altezzas for the mp5. I can't find mp5 coilovers that match the picture in the acution, but the one they have listed has a 5 yr warranty. However the only thing japanese about them is "JAPANESE SPECS SPRINGS "...thats pretty vague, notice how they said "japanese spec" and not japanese, lol

Hey All,

I did end up buying those Tom Motorsport ones. The guy selling them is A+ in my book. I got them and was disturbed by the look of them. I e-mailed him back and he said he would give me a full refund. I decided to go with Tein and he sent me a M.O. for the full purchase price with shipping. These things are inexpensive, but I just don't know how good they would be on our P5's.

BTW, the Teins are great. paid $185 plus another $60 or so for four Ingall's camber correction bolts. Had them installed for $100 and alignment done for $60 at NTB.

Also, the str8 skinny on how much Teins will lower your P5 is 2" front and 1.5" rear. Just about perfect as I like that forward leaning look, plus I do carry lots in the back and sometimes tow.
