Turbo (soon) Yellow 2002 P5
Hold on to your seats folks.......

105 Horsepower - To the WHEELS!!!! YEAH!!!!!!

Wow, I need my turbo kit installed. (boom06)

This was a quick baseline run. Installed now are a LIGHTENED FLYWHEEL, MEGAN Exhaust, and lighter wheels. I guess that bumped the HP a little, who knows, it doesn't matter at that level.

It is going to be cool to DOUBLE the power on the stock engine and TRIPLE the power when we install the built engine.

whoa slow down there speed racer... hah

I had a nice kill on my way home. I am PRETTY sure that the other teenage girls in the Pink, automatic Caviler were racing me.

If they were, they lost big time.

haha... yea i had a race like that.. but it was an 80 year old in an olds. He seemed pissed when i put on my hazards hah

i may dyno my p5 after a header/MAM midpipe/greddy cat-back install. god, i wonder how much hp i'll gain. i was just wondering the other day what a stock p5 puts out to the wheels.

It is in the upper 90's stock. That is funny but true. I guessed 108, Beau guessed 98. I am thinking the biggest gains came from the lightened flywheel. It is less than half the rotating mass of stock.

Don't expect a lot NA, especially if you don't mess with cams and tuning.

Also, remember, everything works in tandem. My Megan exhaust and MAM midpipe won't get me a darn thing without other mods, but they ENHANCE those said mods.

My car is, of course, being set up for a really solid 300 hp on the Sleeper kit.

yah i'd like to see that with the full on header/midpipe/cat-back combo. from what i hear we get around 94-96 whp stock right? how depressing lol

Get a baseline before you put the stuff on MokeOne. A base stock p5 dyno's around 97-100whp. I'm guessing your planned mods will put you at around 115-118whp

Yes. Turbo, NA, whatever. A baseline is always nice. You can see how much you made. You want to dyno after each mod, but that gets too expensive. (Some of the NA guys are freaking dyno junkies, looking at their posts :) )

Just remember, turbo is really the cheapest in the long run if you want any really solid power. It gets REALLY REALLY expensive when you want more though. Built engine, stand alone, etc. Oh well.

If I can find a cheap dyno around here I will get mine dynoed before the blower goes on. ebay intake, OBX, MAM midpipe, and magnaflow. I wanna see my ugly, uneven curve.

yes and then we can all "ooh" and "aah" the straight hp curve all the way to redline!

Mine wasn't the straightest, I tell you that, but I can't justify taking a pic and posting a 105 HP dyno run. I would feel like an ass. (nuts)

tuned, no clue yet. Hasn't been tuned yet. As for A/C, at the moment, kit deletes it. Though I'm sure Matty's looking into ways to keep the A/C..

That's what we're hoping for :D

65, like Zath said, Matty's initial dyno run was with the Haltech fuel computer and for some reason the fuel maps were locked during his runs so he could not adjust them. IIRC, he dynoed a peak of 158 whp at 6500 rpm, with a fairly straight line leading all the way up to it. The torque curve was even more beautiful than the hp. It popped up to about 145 wtq at 3500-4000 rpms and stayed right there for the rest of the graph. There was one big drop in both curves right where the AF started going down fast and the injectors freaked out and started running 110% duty cycle. This is all from memory of a couple months ago, so I'll try to go back and fine the graphs.

In my car we are running a stock ecu (for now) with a BEGi FMU and voltage clamp, so we're hoping to see at least 180, possibly more, with proper fuel control. I'll be sure to let you know in a couple weeks (wink)

EDIT: Found the graph. I was a little off, but it's still pretty :)
