Dyno

I went to the dyno today for a baseline
My mods are
NGK BKR7E .035 Gapped
JoeP FPR
that's it.

Air / Fuel on the wideband was between 10:1 and 11:1

The Dyno was a Dynojet 248C and the pulls were in 4th gear , temperature was about zero celsius, 30 farenheit, and there a huge fan blowing about 15mph in front of the car.

Oh that's easy, between runs I broke out my tool box and removed 8.9 hp with my buddy Mr. Intercooler Heatsoaked.
Actually run # 2 was 2 mins after #1 and it was 134hp
I will be going back next week with certain goodies lying around my apt.
I am not sure if its flashed. I took it to the dealer for some 'other' work and said flash 'er! , and when I got it back it drove 100% smoother. What do you guys think from the curves? The old ones were choppier weren't they?

Yeah, you probably are flashed...those are some really smooth curves!!

damn, thats rich... 10:1 is killing power.... i want to run a smooth 12.5:1 curve. I bet just that would yield about 15hp.

Wow, the first run really showed a huge difference. Heatsoak at its finest...

True, but he said the fan was only blowing 15mph. In the real world, in 4th gear at the top of the rpm range, there is going to be much more airflow across the IC then what that fan was providing. Yes, a FMIC properly sized for the application would be preferable. It would be nice to see a back-to-back comparison of the stock vs. FMIC.

GREATG just out of curiosity, why are you running the colder plugs on stock boost? FPR maybe?

Bremerton , the car was topping 4th over 200km/h that is 124mph with my snow tires on. It makes your heart beat pretty quick to stand beside it. I put in the colder plugs in anticipation of other mods. It actually ran stronger with the stock plugs, by the seat of the pants. Check out Turbo Magazine's test of the Ion FMIC on a dead stock MSP.

I'm just going to move to Antartica w/ my craptastic pocket IC

j/k...its not that bad i guess :(
