Drivers Side Roof Rail Leak

About five and a half years ago not long after buying my Signature I purchased from and had installed by the dealership the roof rails. Now, beginning several months ago I'm getting a water drip from the forward connection of the drivers side roof grab handle after a rain or washing the car, This seems to be just about below where the forward roof rail connection is. First of all this is years after installation of the rails and second I didn't think instalation of the roof rail would in any way actually puncture the metal roof. I am concerned of course because if bare metal is being exposed to water rust will occur eventually creating a hole in the roof. Any thoughts on this?

Take it to a different dealership and don't mention anything in particular. Pay the $150 diagnostic fee and have them inspect it. Take the findings to your original dealership and have they fix it and reimburse you (if they did screw up)

What RedBaron said above. More than likely it's the sunroof drain(s) tube(s) that are plugged up with debris and backing up causing the leak.

Thank you all , yes very weill could be except sunroof if very rarely opened. I will have it checked.
