Drifting on Highway 5

If anyone from the Novi/Livonia area is interested, this is the series of turns that are a BLAST to take on Highway 5 / 275 when there are no cars around. There are a few variations, but this is what I used to do on my bike at nightwith 0 cars around.

Yeah, I'm sure the guy just cut over, but I thought it would get a laugh or two.

winty87, that's where Grand River enters onto 5 in Farmington Hills. It's tight smooth turn that throws you onto 5 north. Fun on a bike or car that handles.

I have I think its 11 mile and Inkster
Also there's one in Sterling Heights and Ann Arbor

I doubt the guy is drifting in the first picture posted. He probably cut across traffic from the parking lot across the street. He's too close to the start of the turn to be in a drift like that and there isn't eactly room to pick up speed beforehand.

Yep. My buddy (rsx type-s) and I check it out every once in a while. It's the same people and same cars most of the time. I never see Proteges there unfortunately.

Yeah right there. Its pretty cool. I see some Mazda's once in a hoot. MSP a couple months ago. It gets boring there after about an hour so we've just gone to woodward cruised it then parked at talked...Good times.

We need to get this planned so there is ACTUALLY protege's there. I've seen a nice Mazda 2.3 with a kit and everything, but nothing beats a row of Protege's
