Downpipe installed

So i finally got my CP-e catless downpipe installed. Droped the car off at Japtrix and they did the install in about 2 1/2 hours. They also tune using the Cobb AP so they went ahead and tuned it now with the downpipe. Car made 256 AWHP and 269 TQ. Very satisfied with the install, car pulls alot harder and the exhaust sounds amazing even with stock cat-back. By the way if you're in Palm Beach County i recomend Japtrix, the owner has a speed 3 and tunes with the cobb AP and does a pretty good job with it, they really know what there doing.

if you are smoking raise your idle to 950rpm and see if that helps.

i have not seen any smoking yet. I did get the rurbo replaced once already after i had put in my test pipe. I'll just have to wait and see if it smokes or not.

yeah you can set your idle using ATR, i believe under idle tables

so after installing the downpipe i've noticed a new smell coming from the engine bay. It almost smells like a burnt clutch. I'm not sure if it's the downpipe burning off stuff that's been built up inside since it was used or if the increase in power is causing my stock clutch to burn. anybody have any input?

it's what they use to loose the bolts, you're fine, I also took my car to japtrix to get it tuned a while back. they are great guys!

djdanny, its possible you have a leak off the downpipe and you have a slight exhaust leak there. or maybe you used some kind of penetrating oil on the bolts for the downpipe and thats just the oil burning off.

I had a local shop install it and i noticed they used something on the bolts, now that i've driven it for awhile i dont get that smell anymore so i guess it was just something burning off. Now it just smells like a catless exhaust. but i gotta say "I'm Lovin It!"
