so today my corksport downpipe and high flow cat / midpipe were finally put on the car. originally tryed the install but failed due to the O2 sensor not coming out. last saturday was my appointment with compass mazda to have the parts put in but they confirmed my O2 sensor was seized in the downpipe. So they said they would reschedule for today. well this morning i had to be in middletown by 7am which is about an hour from my place. They got my car in around 8 after letting it cool a little and worked on it from 8 till 3ish. i had the head mazdaspeed mechanic working on my car and he did an excellent job in my opinion. After a 7 hour install including cutting my O2 sensor and getting that fat piece of s*** oem downpipe out to finally getting the new downpipe on the car all i can say is wow what a long ******* day lol . first let me say they quoted me the install of being 3 hours. but being that they had my car for 7 hours they only charged me for the quoted 3 hour install which was great. i walked out of compass middletown with a huge smile on my face. after countless talks with the owner of the mazda dealership he has reassured me that his dealership is very very mod friendly. He has explained to me that he has replaced some turbos on a few mazdaspeed 3's and 6's that were very modded with no troubles at all. i can only express to anyone with a speed or even a nonspeed who has a warranty to bring your cars to them to have it worked on.
