Domo Arigato(Thank you) Mazdaspeed Protege**OFFICIAL I LOVE THE MSP THREAD**

insane.
definetly a step up, BUT msp's handling is in a class of its own.

it's the best handling FWD car ever made....including integra type-r and 06 Si.

evo, though, is a friggin brick on the ground.
it is hard to compare the two.
evo is heavier, you can feel it right away. it just feels like there is more mass when you accelerate, brake, or turn.
the car is just made to handle that mass wonderfully.
acceleration, braking, turning.......it is all very well balanced for the weight of the car......unlike Z for example, or IS350 (stock for stock ofcourse).

i still love the MSP and it's throw-arround-ability.
it will go wherever you point it.

P.S. all this is based on day-to day driving adn some canyons.
i am still yet to take the evo to a track......then i will know for sure how they compare ;)

I dont know about everyone else but I really do love my car still.

27 months after buying the car it now has 94k miles on it. 94K pretty trouble free miles, with a stock motor, running 10-12psi daily except winter. I have had 2 things go wrong mechanically, a broken LSD at 46k and a bad wheel bearing at 85k. The LSD broke a week after running my best time it wasnt that huge of a deal, can we say QUAIFE

. I have autox, drag raced, road course raced, and done hours and hours of backroads in the car and it is holding up well. It has gone from pretty modified back to stock, and back to somewhat modded, I have loved it in every form it has been.

So not to sound all crazy but I have been more than happy with this car in the time I have had it. So happy that I was thinking about selling and had a couple offers but just couldnt get rid of it b.c there was nothing that I liked better. To me I have gotten more out of it then any previous car and it was definantly worth the 16k I paid for it.

I've had mine for less than 48 hours and I'm completely floored. The boost, the handling, the chunky steering feel, the styling, the overall vibe is just awesome. It's so far ahead of the Subie I got rid of for it ('02 2.5 RS with it's oh-so-soft suspension, lethargic throttle response, elastic clutch, 3200lb bulk, and it's normally-aspirated "not fast at all engine"...) it boggles the brain.

Everything SCC said about it is true. It's an amazing automobile. Especially for under 15K.

I've had my car for 5 months now..it had neve rleft me stranded ont he road.

i was thinking about getting rid of it for something faster, here's the outcome.

'06 CIVIC Si SUCKS is the most ******* ugly car i had ever seen!!! is horrible!
'06 Sentra Spec-V 6 speed....it took my heart away...but it has so much wheel hop i thought i was riding on a horse...i would buy as a second car tho...pretty quick...

subarus will always be subarus...and insurance is killer...so they're outta the question..

i will never get rid of my car...even if it means i'll have to park it and drive it only in the weekends....

i love it.....

This is why I'm very tempted to get a junk car for a dailey driver...but not yet though...or a lower mileage MSP to keep, and drive this thing forever...

It was that or the Mazdaspeed for me; the 6 speed was oh so tempting. But the suspension needs the NISMO updrades (from what I've read) and I wouldn't call the car handsome, either...

ok I got my AFC installed and test driven it for a few miles!!!!!!!!

for everyone else who haven't got the AFC yet.........PLEASE PLEASE DO GET IT!!!!!!!!! It is a night and day different.......

so I guess I can now officially state that "I LOVE MY MSP!!!!!!!!!!"

Yeah, it truly is a great ride. That's why I am keeping it even with an EVO and oh just a few other cars... (thumb)

Are you kidding me my mazdaspeed has been better than my last girlfriend.

It tells me when it hungry, as long as I feed it, its happy.
It never give me false information. Every CEL has been right on.
It puts a bigger smile one my face than her.

the list goes on.... HEHEHE. I'm only kidding

But yes I do love my Mazdaspeed.
