Dome light problem???

Hi, i was wondering if anyone is getting a problem with their dome light not turning on when you open the door even though its on the door position. I noticed this happens usually on warmer climate days. I put the switch to off and back to door, problem solved. Anyone know what might be the problem?

mine flickers.. but thats due to the door pin actuator (thing) hah. I had a similar problem on my jetta, and replaced those devices. hope it helps..i dont have other ideas..besides maybe a bad connection?
