Does synthetic oil cause vibration?

Hi all,

This post is a spin-off from a reply to one of my other posts.

Somebody replied that they had a vibration problem, when they used mobil 1.
Is this vibration thing a know side effect of syn-oil? Or is it from using different oil weights?

vibration is not an "effect" of any oil. I'm not sure exactly what the person's issue is,b but as long as the weight is correct for the car, you should have no problem running either syn or regular.

I have mobile 1 in my car and no vibrations,now when you put AWR MM's then you have vibrations.

i use redline 5w 20... and have no problems.. (full syn)

when i used mobil 1 in my focus it made the car vibrate. when i switched to amsoil it didn't vibrate any more.

i use mobil 1 also and i have a ? ..... is 0w20 safe to use in a hot dry climate???

i'm using 0w20 mobil 1 as well.. does 24*C in Saskatchewan in April count as hot and dry?

Mobile1 0w20 is the same as other brands 5w20. It is perfectly fine in hot climate. I have ran it for years in my Focus and over a year in the Mazda3.
