I tried out my heater tonoght because it is finally getting a little cold here(upper 50's), and it really didn't get hot. Even after about 45 min. of use. I think it is broken, nut my car is only about 6 weeks old. I know all you people up north have had to use your heater by now. Let me know,...I think I need to take it in to the dealer.

I've noticed that the heater in ours does not get very hot either. I was going to make an appointment with the dealer as it gets darn cold here in Central Oregon. I've gotten used to the HVAC in my Explorer which will roast you out of the truck at half the setting... ;)

Mine used to do that but I think it's finally breaking in it used to take for ever when I leave it running but now it heats up no problem Give it a little time before you take it in.

ya my car heats up in about 10 -15 min, gets blazing hot also, ive never had it higher than mid way.

Thanks, I'll try to use it more to break it in I guess. I've tried it on every setting and it does'nt work. If it would stop being 80 degrees down here in the south I could use it more.

This is almost hilarious....you guys don't even know what cold is....just kidding.

No problems here. Just as good as any honda I've owned in the past. I usually have it on blast in the mornings for about 5 mins while the car warms up, then turn it down because it gets too hot. Most morning here are around -5 degrees Celsius these days. That's not really cold for here. Actually really warm for this time of year.

nothing wrong with my heater....and I would know for sure.

I don't know how you guys up there can stand that cold weather. I like the tropical climate down here. :D

My heater works fine. I am from the great white nort as well. I do find it is a little hot, but that is what heaters do. They get hot.

Has anyone noticed however, the fan in the car will turn on stronger as you accelerate? I find this a little annoying.

Yeah my heater is fine. The car took a long time to wartm up the other morning since it was unusually cold out. If it stays this cold I might have to switch to 5w. hehe. Would also free up a few ponies, but nothing to poop your pants over. :)

Has anyone worked on a mod to disable the switch(es) that forces the air conditioning to come on and/or the switch(es) that force the vent to open when you put the setting on the windshield defrost?

Damn it only mid 40s in Houston today. But my heater works good, I think you need to get it to ur dealer ASAP... ;)

damn school computers won't let me log in.

Anyway, the AC compressor automatically kicks on whenever the vent selector is on Def, Def/floor, and floor only. It also doesn't turn on the AC indicator light on the AC switch. So, for now, a faster heat-up could be attained by turning the vents to dash or dash/floor, those being the only two positions that aren't automatically AC. MP3TLH asked about bypassing this, and I'm working on it, it depends if it's internal circuit board stuff or external wiring. I haven't looked at this yet, but as soon as I know, I'll post it here again. Keep checking back.
