Does Anyone Have The New Hci Magazine -- August Issue

i think i got the one after that, or the one before, mines the one with the 50 greatest tuner cars or something

Yea thats a few issues ago ... the new issue has a cavalier on the front, and the issue before (July) had Craig Liebermans M3 on the front.

Sorry not to start anything, but how did that yellow P5 get a full article done?? I can name 10 cars on this board with more done than that. Oh well, still cool to see some proteges getting recognition.
knowing people...Im sure if those 10 cars knew the right people or made the same effort that guy did, they could have seen their cars in the mag...

good job gurly :D

gotta pick up a copy now:D

That guy with the yellow car was at Protegefest. The interior is completely custom. He definately put a lot of time/effort/money into it. There was a thread here awhile back about that car. It didn't get much love from this club...maybe a little too bling bling or something. It's sort of lowrider style, if you get what I mean.
Congrats Protege5Gurly! There's no question as to whether your car is done right!(thumb)

That yellow one only had racing seats and recovered rear seats -- nothing completely custom. I think the yellow one your referring to was the one from StitchCraft.

Oops! You guys are correct. This P5 was at P-Fest, sitting right next to the StitchCraft car.

made everything prety? he forgot to wipe all that black s*** off the outside (lol2)

sounds like somebody is a little jealous..do some real mods..then you'll get love..HCI is an alright rag..i'm not a huge fan of it, but congrats on making it in..

btw, i'm not hating..just saying from a performance standpoint..i'm just not about "show" cars..show cars need big ass bling and airbags..haha..

bahahaha..yeah right..SCC is far superior..actual articles..that are actually informative..instead of glamorized crap..REDLINE/MAX-Power is a better read, and thats european..I mean thats my opinion, but i can't be the only one who thinks so..they have great articles..i've read HCi..thats about as helpful as Turbo magazine..."Hey did you know that they have these things called blow-off valves that make your car go woosh" OMG HI2U! I mean, rag's aren't the end all source of tuner info, but they should provide a good read and new concepts..not just sponsor cars and dribble...but thats just me..

I guess it depends on what you look for. SCC is heavy on the tuner/jdm performance. Thats what you like. HCi and Bscene are geared more towards show cars/coverage -- thats where my heart lies.

Yeah, I do have to give that to you..it is definetly all about show..and if thats your thing..do it up! you do have a good thing going for you with the P5..thats why i don't hate, everyone has their own thing..i bet you didn't even see me at the jersey meet..my sleeper dx just kind of blended in..and thats where my heart lies..unfortunately...my heart also lies in a n/a protege that thinks it's fast..in reality..i've seen faster breezes...

Congrats P5gurly, they should have gotten a pic of the whole ride though.

IMO:

HCI= Rice, yes they have alot of ricey cars in that magazine, Im sorry but it's true. The guy in the Yellow P5 got in because he's part of International all-stars and they have good pull with that magazine.

Bscene I like, because it's geared towards the show scene, alot of nice cars on there.

But the best Rag out there right now is MODIFIED!!!!!!! I love that Mag!!! :D

BTW the one thing I do like about HCI is they cover all makes and models.
