Does anyone know if 17x7 alloy rim with 48 offset 114.3x5 bolt pattern will fit a mazda 5?

Q1. Does 225/45/17 fit 17x7 wheels?
Q2. I know the offset for mazda5 is 48mm and bolt pattern is 114.3x5 which is same as honda or acura, but does 225 actually will fit our mazda5 when mounted on 17x7?

I know some members have even 18, 19s and wider tires mounted..

So I am thinking of mounting a set of rims I had and a set of 225/45/17 kuhmo ..
Any help is appreciated.

Thx

A 225/45-17 tire will fit on a 7" wide rim but it's not a good fitment. According to The Tire and Rim association in the US (TRA), an organization representing all the major tire companies, a 225/45 tire requires a minimum wheel width of 7.5" within the recommended range of 7.5"-9". The TRA states that wheel widths outside the recommended ranges, based on past experience and engineering considerations, can result in poor service and potential tire failure.

A 215/45 is the maximum width tire that should be used on a 7" wide rim (recommended range = 7"-8.5").

Keep in mind that recommended tire/wheel fitments are based not only on the width of the tire but also its aspect ratio.

I have 225's on my stock 7" rims. Some tires are wider than other, the Pirelli I have are a bit narrow for 225, they fit very nicely!
