Do you think this is a rip-off?

got my teins installed for $120.. (dunno)

Where did you go? A local shop, or some national tire place?

I'm sort pissed that all these different guys and these shops are BSing me, if I can't find an honest one offering a good price here soon, I'll just do it myself. But all this BS about camber plates and other things i just "HAVE TO HAVE OR THE CAR WILL EXPLODE!11!1!" is getting on my nerves.

Those guys are f-ing you six ways from sunday. Do the job yourself. It's about as hard as puting together a tricycle. Like the wise Sir Nuke said use the how to and you will be right as rain. If you have a jack handy you can even do it without a spring compressor. Also our car is equipped with a strut type suspension in the front and multilink in the rear, neither of which are known to have an overly aggressive camber curve. In other words the amount of camber you do gain from the lowering is prob going to increase perf. without necessarily deetracting from tire life. Camber plate are more necessary for cars with double wishbone or uneven a-arm suspensions.

d00d... does nobody here live in Colombus OH?? seems like a big town, must be someone on here that can help this guy.
It's something relatively simple to do.. so long as you have jacks and some tools, you can do it all yourself... I would recommend using a spring compressor, but i've seen people do it all without one..

installation at my mazda garage was 2.5h (alignment included) and no additional stuff needed.
if that guy claims he needed at least 5h ... he is either lazy and/or not knowing what he's doing ... or he just wants to rip you off (butthump)

if he wants to drive a couple hours (Springboro 45066) he could come down to my house and we could do the install. I did mine last Fall on the P5. Longest part was getting the plastic out of the backend to gain access to the top bolts on the rear struts. Only issue/problem I am weary of is the hex key on the linnkage.

You would haev to find a shop for alignment though. Nobody close to me will touch a altered suspension vehicle for less than $120. Which is outrageous. WheelSource did mine for $35 but there hours are screwy and appt is mandatory.
PM or email me.
