Do we have noisy fuel injectors??

I hope someone says "yes". :) I just replaced my spark plugs after 35K miles (they NEEDED IT!). I replaced them with NGK BKR6E-11 I picked-up at Mazda, I have a totally stock car, I just asked for whatever they would use if I got THEM to install them. Afterwards my car runs MUCH better than it used to! However I notice a clicking sound proportional to the RPM of the engine, but it's not very loud, and I don't know if it's me being paranoid or something isn't working right. It seems to come from the fuel rail area. I double-checked all plug torque settings, connections, etc.. My oil level's fine, the belts SEEM okay. You can only hear it if the hood's open, but you don't need your ear ON the engine to hear it either, so I don't know if I've just never noticed it before....Does anyone else hear a clicking from the fuel rail area? I'm hoping it's just the injectors puffing fuel....can you hear that?

Thanks for any worry-killing advice. :)

Maybe this belongs in Performance?? I dunno, but if so just move me.

I went out and bought a soundscope for $8, and each cylinder while running sounds the same (putting the tip basically at the plug wire cap), and each fuel injector sounds the same. The service manual suggests someone crank the engine and I listen to each injector separately. If that's okay I guess I'll check their resistance? Since it idles and accelerates fine, and no SES light, I assume it can't be THAT bad, right??

My old plugs had a white-ish tip with sooty black carbon around the top ring, then a "burnt" look around the threading of the plugs (burnt anti-seize??). They all looked identical, so if something's wrong it seems to be across all cylinders, however after 35K miles of hard driving they didn't look that bad.....
