do these work

The one that I tried quite awhile back wasn't 25.00 but all it did is tell ecu that the iat is 41 degrees gives more fuel compensate & advances timing slightly. The iat & fuel trim & timing were slightly different on the ecu readout on the laptop. Nothing beneficial except to more money to ebay sellers & gas station IMO...............

The timing advance could be beneficial, but the extra fuel will just hurt performance and fuel economy since the car already runs extremely rich.

WRONG. The air temp sensor is there for a reason, this is just ******* it up.

Thanks for the concise explaination!!! Please elaborate on what was wrong in my post and precisely how it's f'ing it up. Your statement implies that the stock programming is fully optimized. I'm fully aware on why an IAT mod wouldn't be beneficial on our cars. Are you?

In the post prior to mine, i12drivemyMP5 stated that he has tested it and found that it "gives more fuel compensate & advances timing slightly." Would more or less fuel be better? What about timing advance?

I have had friends that told me that putting premium fuel in their car made them go faster. The resistor is just taking the engine out of the pre-determined tune done by the factory. Mazda already tuned this sensor along with the ECU to run at the optimal setting. You're just screwing with it.

i saw this on ebay and was wondering if these actually work or not just curious to know if it does work i might as well buy one right? heres the link for ebay
Ebay Chip

While the chip itself does not work, the sticker you get with it gives you a 12-15 horsepower increase at the rear wheels (thumb)
