do new springs make noise?

i just finish putting in the cobb springs i drove down to a local gas station an im off the throttle and turn while in motion i can hear the springs adjust them selves around is this normal or did screw up.?

Did you fully seat the springs into the cups? There is 1 position for them to fully seat, otherwise they will make noises. If you look at the cup you will see the 1 position where the very end of the spring coil seats into it.

i know there seated right when i put them on the strut unless they moved around when i was putting them back on i dident recheck that after that step. great well i guess i will look into that tommarow then thank you i just didnet know if they made noises while they broke in or not

Spray the top mount and bottom perch with high impact lithium grease. I had low-speed creaking/squeaking on my last car's coilovers despite preloading them, the lithium grease took care of the noise.

thanks for the advice an i will do that grease thing but i am sure i screwed up some wear online the line if i can feel them move just a little

never in my experience. the guys posting before me have some pretty good advice. I second making sure the springs seated properly

my springs made a noise like a just getting settled right noise like 2 times, and now i have never heard it again. I think it is them just getting into the right place. But if you consistently get the noise then i would guess somethign is wrong

what kind of noise are you guys talking about? is it a High pitch chirp/squeak over bumps?

if its a clunk not a squeak make sure you check the lower bolt that holds the assmebly to the lca

nope its just the sound of the springs shifting around only when i turn the wheels thats the only time i assume that its the springs getting un compressed as the waight of the car shifts. i cant take it any more i am ordering new springs and struts. i have pulled the struts 3 times i have had people who do this for a living tuning cars and moding them look at it and nobody can fine a reason why its acting this way. so i give up

no i havent gone to there website or have there number when i get around to it i will. i was trying to win a bid on ebay for mazda speed high proformance struts and springs but i had to got to the hospitol cause i broke my foot today and wasent able to watch the biding.
