Disc changer or not?

So there is a load button and a disc up and down button, but it only plays one disc?!?!? Thats torture! We test drove another 5 before we bought this one and noticed the "6 disc" icon on one of the buttons, but ours doesnt have it. So does that mean its not there or what? Or am I just a lame that cant figure out how to load the discs.

Sorry for sounding like a newb. I only own oldies, Im use to tape decks and stuff, lol.

I have a new 2010 GT and the 6-disc changer was part of the luxury package option. We decided to not get that option. I too have the load button.

if you press the load button again does it give you the option to load another disc? If not then you don't have the 6 disc changer. Can look at your window sticker to see if you have it or not.

No it does not give me the option. It does nothing when pressed. I bought the car used so I dont have a window sticker. Funny thing is when I found the ad I swear I saw it had a changer.

Its not a real big deal anyway. Im looking for a Nav unit to take the place of the factory radio.

our 5 does not have the CD changer. The buttons are the same regardless of whether you have the changer or not.

BTW, we put in a tape deck soon after we bought the car and the dealer looked at us like we had three heads. It's deceptive: we use the tape deck primarily for the iPod adapter. But it was still pretty funny.

Lots of buttons on the cd head unit that are connected to nothing at all.

Couldn't find the aux in jack either, dammit

KBrian, you got an 07 GT right? Theres no aux jack for 07 only started on the 08

Whoa, I know behind the (Driver side, steering wheel is on the other side of car in Japan) kick panel by my right foot of my Premacy where the audio video computer sits, there are THREE empty plug-in spots, because the fourth one already has my IPOD adapter plugged hooked into it. Id look there, I bet there is a CD changer plug waiting to be filled.

No, this is a great question, trust me I did the same thing in my 06 Premacy.

Even tried a DVD see if it would play, NOPE, then tried it in the NAVI DVD and nope still no dice, no DVD for me (pukey)

Sure? I have a bunch on the Premacy, for CD changer, IPOD adapter cord, etc.

When you people go through your head unit MODES i.e. AM, FM, CD on your head unit, what is the RSES for? Or you dont have that?

(Note, the owners manual is all in Japanese and the wife wont translate, and my Japanese is not that technical to go there myself.) (Looks like Ill have to, huh?)

BTW, Yes Jess, our 5 is an 07' GT with no (visible) aux jack.

If have a US 08 Sport model, here is the dig:

- Sport - No 6 CD player, Yes Aux input
- Sport with Popular Package (1PE) - Yes 6 CD Player, Yes Aux Input
- Touring - Yes 6 CD Player, Yes Aux Input
- Grand Touring - Yes 6 CD Player, Yes Aux Input

Some factory installed (very uncommon):
- Grand Touring with Navigation option has 6 CDs and plays MP3s
- The rest, there is or was a 6CD/MP3 player somewhere, especially Asia, I'd check ebay
