Disbelief in the amount of money I have spent!

BANANA OF FURY
I was bored tonight, and decided to do something, no one who modify's cars should ever do. I added up the cost of everything I have purchased to modify/rebuild my car since its purchase. I'm not trying to brag here, but I honestly could not belive how much money I actually spent on this damn car. Considering that I still have to pay a little over 10k off on the loan its a little daunting. My summer job will pay the car off so i'm not worried, but when I put it in this perspective, I honestly think i need consuling. I find that I dont go out and eat, or buy groceries, and i just buy car parts. They should make pills for this s***.

Grand Total Spent on Rebuild So Far:
Parts: 9344.25 (I still need endlinks, and about 300.00 more worth of misc crap)
Labor: 800.00

Grand Total: OH s***!

So what have you guys spent? I didnt think i had spent this much, but umm, yep, it happened.

I have spent between 4 and 5K on my car, and it's all on minor stuff. now comes the bad part, bodykit and turbo! another 4 to 5K

I'm at around $11,800 give or take $500 either way (did a lot of rounding and estimating)

and the thing that sucks is I pretty much have to redo my entire front end.. fix sideskirts, new carbon fiber hood, new front bumper, new fog lights, paint a-pillar, new eyelids.

Yeah, that is not a smart thing to do. Just mod your car but NEVER EVER calculate the total that you have spent on it. With saying that I have spent a total of $1510 and I don't have anything to show.

Just over two...and I don't have that many parts:) My accord about almost 15K in it. I keep a spreadsheet of everything I put into the car. :)

how old are you? what do you do? How can you afford this? And pay for the car.

I don't get it. If you could spend all this money, why didn't you buy an evo to begin with.

I have a list written in notepad, I'm at work right now so I don't know the exact total, i think it is around 1.5k.

The plans i have for this car involve almost another $2k, I slowly buy the parts as I can afford them.

my plans involve..oh god...stupid too much...i should probably just stop..if i woulda spent that 3 grand on the payments id be under 10g left...damn stupid...

I will spend $1k on the stereo, more than likely $5k on the engine, $2k on the exterior, and $2k on the interior. That being said I plan on paying ZERO laybor. Ultimate Street Car Challenge here I come!

Yikes, over $2500 for me...and I owe like 15K still and the car has 61K miles on it!

Scratch that, forgot a few things. Thank goodness for my sig. More like $3K(boom03)

I am at about 3500, and it doesn't seem I have too much to show for it. Though the iON turbo back is like half of this number, just need to get it! It's amazing how much the lil stuff adds up. I am thankful for the sweet deal i got from JaxMSP on his used AEM CAI and TUrbohoses hardpipes and my free Forge BOV from Goku!

I'm 18, and a freshman in college (I have a full ride thank god). I saved up for 3 years prior to purchasing the car, and would've been able to pay it off in full when i purchased it, but then the engine blew and i was kinda screwed. No one would buy the car w/o an engine, and I had just paid 1500.00 worth of sales tax on the purchase the day before, so it was a no win, no out solution. However, the only thing I need to pay off is the car, and my job will allow me to have my 5 year loan paid off by the end of the summer. And belive me, the total cost is up over 27k now, and i'm sooo wishing i would've gotten a different car. An evo, sti, 350z, anything would've been cheaper! But i wasnt planning on doing all of this right off the bat. I just figure that if the engine is pulled, I can either pay someone to drop the same OEM p.o.s. back into it, or i can do it right the first time.

And yea, I have a spreadsheet too!
