Disabling seatbelt minder?

As I haven't had this useless feature in my previous vehicles, I find it to be rather irritating driving through the underground garage and such. Has anyone successfully disabled the warning beep?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure. Check your manual, and there is probably a fuse you can take out...

otherwise...be safe and WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!! LOL! (hand)

on the older Mazda 2's (2003 - 2007) there is a block connector under the seat connecting a sensor in the seatbelt to the electronics. In my case pulling out the connector disabled the tedious "bleep".

Take of the cover to your speedometer, unscrew 3 screws. pull out the plastic cover. Lift the dash unit the hold your speedometer and odometer and underneath that is the speaker to it. I put a cotton ball and some tape over it and it muffled it to a nice boop boop, rather BEEP BEEP! So annoying but now I can withstand it without blowing some veins after hearing it go off and on due to my supid unsafe california passengers.

Hey well done rchrist with that discovery.
Don't pull out ur connector though as our cars use srs airbags.
No seatbelt = No airbag
