Disable ABS modification

Hi,
I want to sporadically disable the ABS system of my Protege5 by removing the 60A ABS actuator fuse from the engine fuse box. Doing so also lit up the ebrake light in the cluster and I want to avoid this. Could someone tell me what is the color and where I can find the "X" wire (from the diagram) in the foot well. Thanks a lot.

Did all P5's have abs? Ours does not seem to ever kick on when we are sliding across the ice, that and I do not see a light on the dash for it during start up.

Might be right. I don't think our car has it. I'd like to see a US diagram if anybody has one, unless that is the US one....

you'd definitely know it if you had it, its not subtle at all. It kicks in way too easily in my opinion, and when it does kick in you basically can't stop. Could be partially my terrible tires, but I'm getting tempted to just pull the ABS fuse permanently. I liked the car much better when my ABS sensor was broken so it disabled itself haha

it was an option if you got the side airbags and stuff....i like the abs in out cars....works a hell of a lot better than the systems in other makes

ok so occording to the wiring pdf(gimme your email and i can send it)

the wire to the abs light is red/blue
the wires to the brake light are:brown/black and/or blue orange

it shows 2 going to the brake light and i'm unsure of the diagram

So if someone can resolve those diagrams and tells us how to remove anoying e-brake and abs lights , please tell us. I want to disable those /"$/%% abs from this car since I got it.

well i gave you the 2 wires....i think one of the brake light wires is from the ebrake and the other is for the sensors(fluid problems blah blah blah)

Brake control mod replacement

I also have a 02 p5 with abs problem. ABS and Brake lights on so R&Rd control module, but not sure if brake lines reattached in correct ports as brake fluid ate away paint color coding! Does anyone have a picture of proper brake line poistiong into brake control module located under battery? Shop manual does not denote. help!
