Difficult shifting anyone?

Although I really enjoy the Speed6 but shifting is not very pleasant especially 4-5 and 5-6. Even 1-2 has a sticky notch in it.

My basis of comparison is a Protege 5 which after 65K miles still shifts like a dream and a GT3 which has a reputation for a stiff shift but is still tons smoother than the Speed.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Any fixes?

I kinda like the notchiness of the shifter. It makes it feel more mechanical, like I am putting the shifter into the right place. You can try the TWM short shifter and bushings kit, I have heard from many owners that the bushings help with the notchiness and the short throw really helps with the length between shifts.
