Hey guys thanks for all the great information on this forum. I want to buy this car before winter comes because I don't think my old sentra can endure another winter in NY.
One question about the trip computer.
I was looking at some pictures and the trip computer in the Japanese version of cx-5 is different from the NA version.

as you can see the trip computer is located in the middle and the rest of information are located where the trip computer is in the NA version. Why do you think this is? It is so much better to have the trip computer screen in the middle like that. Also the Japanese version has door ajar indicator that actually tells you which door is ajar. I 'm sure that's not the only difference between the two cx-5s, we missed out on the i-stop and idm features too. From what I read on this forum i-stop features useless but idm sounds like a fun feature to have.
Forgot to mention about the hmi commander control too. http://www.mazda.co.uk/cars/mazda-cx-5/features/interior/
