difference between MSP and MSP3.5??

yeah.. as you might have seen from my other post.. I am looking to get a MSP pretty soon (wrx fell through with the parents :( )

so yeah.. what is the difference between the Mazdaspeed 3.5 and just the normal MSP?? fog lights?? that it?

Well

The one I drove on and off for a good portion of an afternoon had a much stiffer clutch than mine does. It took a much larger effort to depress the clutch pedal than my 2003 does. Perhaps, they modified the car for the event but it felt better to me. Also it did not surge kinda of a almost indiscernible rum rum rum at certain rpms like some of the 2003's experience.
I liked the fat shifter knob a little better but the spoiler is so high on the 2003.5 it is visible in the rear mirror. At least in my driving postion is was. Man did we ever rag the s*** out of that car :)
All in all a little more pleasant in some regards than mine.
But I love MINE SO VERY VERY MUCH.
aH COME MERE baby Daddy still love's his Black Nubian Mistress...

Good luck with the car you lucky little punk.
:D

Re: Well

Yes....as he says...

Although, I have not driven a 2003.5 - don't much care for the new front end....

The Love is constant.

I cannot stand the new spoiler..its is too angular or something...I don't like how it curves in at the very bottom.

I am not a fan of the huge spoiler look..I love the new sti and evo but the huge hoop spoilers are way to bling bling IMHO..if I ordered a EVO I'd save $ and forego the hoop skirt

You trying to tell us that you can't see our spoilers in the rear view? Our's aren't short by any means :)

I own a 2003.5 and I like mine very much too. Nothing is changed too much mechanically. Performance wise, both cars are the same basically. The clutch in 03.5 did get a more "heavy-duty" clutch, that's the word from my salesman, so judge it in your own exp. Most of the differences are comestic. Side skirts, choice of colors, spoilers, rims, interior seats, shift knobs, pedals, front lips, rear skirts, and no fog. If you don't care for the looks or color, go for a 2003 car, they could be easier to deal with. Right now the 2003.5 are just coming in, so it might be a little to get a deal down then a 2003 sitting on the lot for a couple of months. I got 2003.5, cuz I like the looks, cuz I hate fog lights on non-rally car that's all. And all the sparco stuff doesn't flow well with the mazdaspeed then then all mazdaspeed in in the inside like 2003.5.

Not dissing 03 here, just I love my 03.5 more

haha i actually went out and got the 03 b4 the 03.5 came out cuz they only had 2 left in so. cal! now, thats devotion to the form of a car! oh and IMO, u get more for the money for the 03, cuz i do believe the fog lights are like $300 or something if you were to purchase them alone? LOL yeah im a cheapo....

YuYuRena, when did u pick up your 2003.5 MSP? I'm still waiting for mine...NO idea when it's due in (Toronto, Canada).

Hine has 3 and Cush has 2 or 3. They just keep them in the back to give the impression they are almost sold out.

Well

What I mean is that I could see the entirety of the wing's transverse section as it dissected the lower 1/3 of my rear view.
My 2003 spoiler doesnt do that it is in fact clearly visible in some cases but only the upper most part it does not cut the bottom most part of my rear view in half. Again this will vary in user height (I'm short) and seating position such as recline angle, mirror angle etc.
So in closing I would like to say,"It's just too ******* big for my taste."
Smooches Ju beetch!!!
hehehehehe

yeah well hine wouldnt give me anything for my p5 (they only had one new orange msp), and cush didnt have any oranges i believe.

is it the one with the dented roof? that was the only used orange one at hine like 2 weeks ago...i had to get brand new anyway

Did it have a dented roof???

I know at Cush (I used to sell cars there) we sold a orange MSP. The owner wasnt able to afford payments so he sold it to Hine. When I bought my MSP from Hine (yes Hine not Cush even though I worked at Cush) they had the same orange one. I almost bought it but I decided to get a new one that was black. Do you know how it got dented, because the one that I looked at a month ago had no dent.

um well actually, the sales dude was tryin to sell me the used one and i went to check it out...the first thing i noticed was the front tires only had half the tread on them left...i found this suspecious because the car had very few miles on it. then i looked further and noticed a small chip on the hood and the dented roof, it kinda looks like it got hit by a broked beer bottle or something because it was a cluster of small dents and nicks.... apparently no one noticed it until i pointed out. (maybe they were just playing dumb) the story i was told when i questioned them was the previous owner was young and his father had purchased the car for him. he ended up with too many tickets so the father sold the car back to hine. personally....i think the kid had a ton of fun beating the piss out of it for the short time he had it.
