Did crazy 2017 Mazda 6 custom stereo install.

In short, I really disliked the bose stereo system in my 2017 Mazda 6 and did a full custom install to replace it. I even put a new head unit in without removing the factory one. It's been working great for over a year now and I documented the build here: http://johnstechpages.com/node/12 . It really was a process that took around 4 months from start to finish. I think it will help anyone who's thinking about doing something like this. Here's what it looks like:

Another Bay Area guy!

Looks like good work, I will keep them in mind when I finally ditch the Bose. Kind of disappointed they sold you on a capacitor, surprised they even make that junk anymore. I'm running ~1500RMS @ 1ohm to my 2 8's, stock alt, stock battery, no cap. They are not needed, ever. I luckily have a 15 GT so replacing the HU itself was easy. I had a 80PRS in my Audi, loved that thing.
