Well last tues. there was a huge hail storm and i was driving back from the mall. The hail were golf ball size and the whole top of my car is dented pretty badly. Should i call my insurance to fix it? Or should i try and find a shop around town that does it? The only problem is, I am 17 yrs old and my dad does not want to use the insurance to fix the dents, becuase its like $500-$1,000 deductable from it. Luckly the top is the only place on my car that was dented so it cant be too much $$$ to fix it. If you guys were in my position what would you do? (naughty)

paintless dent removal.

to fix it right with paint (i dunno if it would need it) would be $1500+

insurance rates will NOT go up the first comprehensive claim you have, but after that they will.

and this is definitely a case of comprehensive insurance.

nothing is chipped, thank god, but really my insurance wont go up the first time?

absolutely. Thats what i did- i called, and assured them it would be comprehensive, and she said that it wouldn't go up for the first claim, but it would more than likely do up after i file a second claim. My advice- if its TOO much to pay for (after your deductible) file a claim. Otherwise, save it for when you have REAL damage (that ISNT collision).

Thats what I ended up doing.
