Dell Jukebox install in MSP pics

:
Mazdaspeed Protege 2003.5
I did this about a month ago but was really busy and lazy recently. Here are the pics. The hardest part about this whole ordeal was obtaining the RCA converter from my local Tweeter store and also pulling out the stock MSP headuint. I got a RCA to miniplug cable from Radio Shack along with an L-shaped adapter to make the least amount of bending possible. My friend was handy with the dremmel and made a nice hole through my ashtray to get that stealthy install look. The cupholder mount for the DJ was bought online at the Belkin website and it fits perfectly, no moving whatsoever. Any questions post here, oh btw, the Dell DJ is pretty awesome.

btw that Dell DJ looks tiny! how big is it compared to the iPod??
Thanks for the compliments, I didn't realize exactly how much it seemed to match the interior till i mounted it in there. The sound quality is great. I rip everything at 192 so its def. cd quality. I have to jack the volume up all the way on the DJ and the Kenwood is at like 22-27 depending on how loud the exhaust is on the highway. Even though the DJ is up to full volume it doesn't distort at all. It is a little thicker than an iPod and heavier too, but I think it gives it a good feeling. I was gonna go with the FM transmitter but I'm a stickler about sound quality (which is also why I'm looking to replace the sub). And yes, the v400 does own. Now that Cingular owns AT&T, maybe we'll see that v600 sooner than later, if ya know what I mean(nana)

I work for them as well, I've actually flashed/flexed my previous v400 to v600 software, video playback is cool. But since I'm a dork I want Bluetooth and the LED ring on the outside of the phone. Oh yeah, and changable faces. Hahah(evil)

It's too bad you drilled your ashtray. You can run the cable back there without doing that by taking out the ashtray (push the metal thing you see when you pull it out) and then run the wire through the hole that exists between that little empty poicket thing doen there and where the tray fgoes. Then you can just slide the tray back in. I ran a few wires like this since the tray leaves enough room for a few wires to go under it.

I was nervous about this too at first but unless you take the tray out to look at it you don't even see the hole. My friend is good at dremmeling (is that even a word?)

Looks pretty sweet. I wish I didn't have so many other projects going on right now... because that'd be on my list (evil)
