so basically adding an oil catch can in between your pcv valve and intake manifold will catch all the crap you see above and prevent it from entering your intake manifold and contaminating it.

thats not all oil. just that thin layer on top mostly. i use amsoil 5w40 and recently heard that amsoil uses foaming agents and that might be the reason for all the foam in there too.

Yikes, that doesn't look pleasant at all. Where did you get your OCC, and how did you install it?

ive often heard about an occ but have never fully understood the purpose of one.. i think i need to research more cause it looks like i need one....

Great article. This might now have to be my next mod. I know OCCs are pretty common, so finding one shouldn't be hard at all.

Looks like bacon fat...

I ordered the Saikou Michi stage 2 can this week and should have it installed this weekend. (**crosses fingers**) Anyone interested should reach out to Saikou Michi, as they gave me some group buy price without even mentioning it. $85 shipped. Email them if you are interested.

FWIW, I'm getting enough blow-by to have fouled my boost gauge sender...

you sould definately not consider any ordinary oil catch can. you'll want to get one that has a baffle in it cause it will keep vapors and such from getting by.

I was looking at the ones that PG carry, or the Greddy medium size one on S_U.

EDIT - the SM one is cheaper than both, and I see that its baffled. I might just go that route and be done with it. Where exactly did you mount it in your engine bay Bova?

So you've got yours off the horn bracket for easy access, huh? Nice. I was thinking of mounting in the abyss that was where the stock airbox used to be. For the connections on the PCV side, in reference to your pic, where exactly are they? Are they closer to the front pass. headlamp?

Neat! I always had a general idea of what they didnt but didnt really expect that much to be caught in the can in 300 miles! Def have to get one for the MSP now.

now if you live in a warmer climate with less moisture you might not see that much in 300 miles. some have said they get more in the winter than in the summer.
