2010 MS3
I have a 2010 speed3 with a catless downpipe. It has been tuned under the Cobb but since then it was switched over to ecutech to get rid of the codes but even though the codes have been deleted the engine will not cycle the evap so that I can get a new york state inspection. I have since put a new catalytic converter on the car but it is farther back on the exhaust and the second O2 sensor is far from reaching of it (41inches). The O2 sensor extenders I ordered from caspers electronics do not fit the pins. I heard if I cut and solder the wires on the O2 sensor I'm just going to throw a new code because the voltage will go down. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. My inspections been up for a year and I feel hopeless. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue or have any idea what to do...

A converter that far back is not going to get hot enough to work. The cat need high heat. I'm running catless in a state that does not test. I don't know what your inspection tests check for. If it is a tail pipe sniffer put your cat farther upstream in your test pipe. If you need it ahead of the secondary sensor you'll have to put the cat in the downpipe or cap the secondary bung and install another one behind your cat. You may have to flash back stock for the test then reload your AP map.
