Defi D Air Fuel gauge q?

On the Defi D A/F I had a question about hooking it up. Is it the same as the Autometer, and by the same I mean in terms of using the stock O2 sensor? It looks kind of on their website that you may need a different type of O2. Any help would be great. A search only brought up the modders guide

I tapped into the stock O2 and it works great. Just make sure you have a good ground...or you get really screwed up readings.

i wish i could used the stock 02 sensor on my car. but the voltage out put on it is only .1 -2v of reading so the gauge would just sweep from lean to rich, never really telling you anything. i bought the big daddy aem uego widebanf af gauge and i couldn't be happier. 11.5 af's all day long.
